Curating Bundles of Joy - One Tea at a Time
Loose Tea was founded in June, 2020 by tea lover Tanvi Nalin to spread the joy of uniquely blended organic loose leaf teas from India to the world.
What Got Us Started
To be very frank, the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lockdown, everybody was in panic mode and trying to boost their immunity in whichever way they can find possible. Haldi Doodh, Green Teas and Masala Chais were dominating the conversation in every household. Tanvi, being a tea aficionado, was serving different varieties of teas to everyone during these conversations. Suddenly, neighboring aunties, family and friends from afar were asking her about different types of teas and even requesting some from her stash. We think, in order to save her prized personal tea stash, she started the website. All the long phone conversations with cousins, who never
ever called before the pandemic, were another reason. Also, trying new recipe everyday required money.
On a more serious note, it was a door opened when everything shut down for us.
What to Expect from Us
The whole leaf teas are sourced directly from small farms and hand-crafted in small batches. We use 100% organic and natural flavours, herbs and spices in our blends. We pride ourselves in curating small bundles of tea-experiences in forms of gift boxes. We may not be into heavily launching a hundred varieties of teas, but whatever we have will be of best quality. We are constantly striving for excellence and trying to shrink our carbon footprints and that will manifest in our products, packaging and curated experiences.
